Working at Oracle has a lot of perks, one of them being the wide variety of lunch options. At Building 400 at Oracle campus, I scooped up this chili cheese dog - delish!
A few friends and myself are on a mission - to try every Michelin rated restaurant in San Francisco. After Boulevard and Houston, the bar had been set pretty high but One Market just kicked it up a notch. Off the Embarcadero at Steuart and Market, the local professional, faraway tourist, and foodie are welcomed to a world of elegance and refined flavors.
We kicked off our evening with light appetizers including shrimp tacos and habanero cheddar donut bites. It was one of those days for most of the group, so we cheers-ed to it and the fun began!
For dinner, we all opted for the chef’s tasting. For the starter, was a beef tongue salad, fresh and earthy, with cabbage and sprouts. I hope you are ready for the entree, it was to die for.
Above, is a succulent pork tenderloin wrapped in pancetta sitting on a bed of spinach and thinly sliced apple with glazed turnips on the side. This dish almost made me cry - it was so good! We washed this down with a light pinot noir to wash away the tangy glaze left from the turnips.
I wish I could show you the dessert, because all 4 we got were outstanding. In order of awesomeness, it is as follows. 1) Coconut cake, 2) blueberry cheesecake, 3) espresso/vanilla creme brulee, and 4) chocolate cake with almonds and caramel crunch.
Warning. The coconut cake may lead to foodgasm.
I ventured out to the Embarcadero for a girls night out and was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and and pristine layout of Ozumo in San Francisco. Around the corner from Hotel Vitale, Ozumo provides locals as well as tourists with a fresh welcome to Japanese cuisine. San Francisco is known for great Oriental dining and Ozumo does not cease to disappoint.
Have a seat in a comfy chair (comfiest dining chair I’ve sat in with the exception of my couch) and be wow-ed by the wide selection of sake and soju to cleanse your palette. Hot or cold, they have it all.
